Iowater Snapshot
In the spring of 2008 the UCCW project hosted its first IOWATER snapshot event. Snapshot sampling is when multiple sites throughout a geographic area, such as a watershed or county, are sampled within a short period of time (e.g. three hours). A snapshot provides a picture of water quality at one point in time. Results from our Snapshot are posted below:

The University of Dubuque's
Environmental Chemistry class will again be collecting water samples from Catfish
Creek in the Fall of 2009. Students will be collecting water from eight sa
mple points
identified along the stream. The students will be sampling for
Nitrates,
Ph, Chloride, and Turbidity. In their lab they will be analyzing for
E-Coli, Total Sustainable Solids, Metals, and Hard Water. The students
will be working in teams of two and will be finishing the water sampling by
