Mission Statement: To protect, conserve and restore the natural resources of Dubuque County for present and future generations by actively seeking resources and partnerships to promote Soil Conservation and improve Water Quality.
The Dubuque Soil & Water Conservation District helps guide the soil and water conservation programs in the county, and has the opportunity to influence state and national conservation programs.
Conservation Districts establish conservation priorities, resolve soil loss complaints, establish acceptable soil loss limits, publish annual reports, approve soil conservation plans, and assist in the management of district funds and personnel.
