The Dubuque Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is committed to promoting responsible land stewardship through education, partnerships, and sustainable agricultural practices. For over 80 years, we’ve worked hand in hand with producers, landowners, and community members to protect and enhance Dubuque County’s natural resources. It is the fragile layer of topsoil… the top 6 to 8 inches of rich dark soil … which makes Iowa’s economy productive and our way of life possible. In these times of great economic pressure on our natural resources, it is critical that we combine our efforts to protect, conserve, and restore the natural resources for the benefit of future generations.

Your partnership is vital to the success of conservation efforts in Dubuque County. By becoming a member, your business or organization will be recognized as a community leader committed to natural resources, sustainability and our agricultural community. Your contribution is tax deductible.
